We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing organization. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activities, supporting inventory and purchasing processes, assisting with employee administration, and ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements. Work Model:

What You Will Do:

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activity
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
  • Prepare journal entries and support month-end reporting processes
  • Track inventory-related costs and assist with product costing and profitability analysis
  • Review vendor invoices, purchase orders, freight expenses, and account balances
  • Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation
  • Support tax filings, audits, and compliance-related activities
  • Assist with employee onboarding, personnel records, benefits administration, and payroll coordination
  • Provide financial insights and support leadership with business and operational decisions
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience
  • Experience with accounting software and financial systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Inventory accounting or cost-tracking experience (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with team members across the organization
