Palmer Group is partnering with a growing company in Eastern Iowa to fill a Product Support Engineer role. This newly created position will serve as a bridge between customers and internal teams, providing accurate quotes, resolving service and warranty issues, and designing parts and solutions for service orders. The ideal candidate combines mechanical design knowledge with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial inquiry to after-sales support. What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers and dealers
  • Prepare accurate quotes and ensure product specifications meet requirements
  • Design and model custom or replacement parts using CAD software
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve service issues and improve processes
  • Maintain documentation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years in technical support, field service, or engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and hydraulics
  • Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
