Our client is searching for a Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract basis! This role will support daily accounting, payroll coordination, and office operations to keep back-office functions accurate, organized, and efficient. The position will also handle AP/AR, bookkeeping, payroll preparation, and administrative tasks while supporting leadership and maintaining strong attention to detail. Apply now to be considered!

What You Will Do:

  • Manage AP/AR, including invoicing, payments, billing, and vendor communication
  • Assist with payroll preparation, including reviewing hours, confirming deductions, and resolving discrepancies
  • Manage bookkeeping records, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end close
  • Oversee office administration (supplies, phones, mail, general support)
  • Monitor vehicle registrations, business documentation, and insurance renewals
  • Keep administrative files and vendor records
  • Support timekeeping, expense tracking, and reporting accuracy
  • Assist with audits and financial documentation
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Improve both the organization and efficiency of administrative processes

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in AP/AR, payroll, bookkeeping, or office administration
  • Experience in operational industries (e.g. construction, logistics, etc.) (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of accounting basics, payroll support, and admin functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • QuickBooks experience (preferred)
