Our client is looking for an Inspection Supervisor to lead a team responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance within a manufacturing environment focused on complex cast components. This role will oversee inspection processes, metallurgical testing, and casting integrity while supporting production goals and reducing defects. The Inspection Supervisor will coordinate staffing, drive safety and quality initiatives, and maintain accurate documentation. Success in this role requires strong leadership, effective cross-departmental communication, and the ability to guide teams in a regulated, high-specification setting.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise inspection technicians and daily quality assurance activities
  • Oversee casting inspection processes to ensure adherence to internal and customer standards
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions for defects
  • Maintain accurate safety, quality, and production records
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and training to meet operational needs
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to improve yield and consistency
  • Monitor materials, manpower, machinery, and methods to ensure quality targets are met
  • Enforce safety programs, plant policies, and labor agreement requirements
  • Support employee development through training, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Manage attendance, performance reviews, and related administrative documentation
  • Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
  • Serve as key personnel for compliance with industry quality standards and audits

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience supervising manufacturing personnel
  • At least 2 years of experience in inspection, quality, or related functions
  • Foundry or casting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and defect analysis
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and reporting
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and continuous improvement practices
