Are you looking for a new opportunity to serve as a senior financial leader? Our client is searching for a Controller to join their team! This role holds responsibility for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, audit activities, compliance programs, and internal controls. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position serves as a strategic partner in maintaining financial integrity, supporting organizational objectives, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

The Controller also leads key financial functions, manages and develops finance staff, and collaborates with organizational leadership to provide financial guidance, improve processes, support strategic initiatives, and drive operational excellence. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, safeguarding assets, and delivering transparent financial information to executive leadership, governing boards, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders. What You Will Do:

  • Lead financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, external audits, and regulatory filings while ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable requirements
  • Oversee accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, and related transactional activities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls, financial policies, and compliance programs to safeguard organizational assets and mitigate financial and operational risk
  • Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial strategy, process improvements, technology initiatives, and financial system implementations
  • Manage and develop finance staff while serving as a trusted advisor to organizational leaders on financial planning, reporting, and decision-making

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting and financial management experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, audit processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/ERP systems, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to successfully pass a background and credit check; employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background and credit check
