Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to help develop advanced software solutions for technology-driven equipment used in real-world agricultural environments. This individual will play a key role in designing, building, testing, and enhancing embedded and Linux-based applications while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The position offers significant ownership of product development efforts, opportunities to influence technical direction, and involvement in emerging areas such as autonomy, machine vision, and intelligent systems. What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software for embedded and Linux-based platforms
  • Lead implementation of new features and product enhancements from concept through release
  • Collaborate with software, electrical, mechanical, and product teams on integrated solutions
  • Mentor engineers and contribute technical leadership across development efforts
  • Support software quality through code reviews, testing practices, and coding standards
  • Participate in Agile development activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Troubleshoot software and system issues using root-cause analysis methods
  • Create technical documentation and support long-term product and platform development

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering field
  • 5+ years of software development experience, including strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Experience developing applications for Linux and/or embedded systems
  • Proficiency with Qt development, software design principles, and modern development practices
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, test-driven development, and automated testing
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control, CI/CD tools, debugging techniques, and collaborative engineering environments
