We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to support our Des Moines-area team. This position plays a key role in keeping daily office operations running smoothly while providing exceptional service to internal staff, members, and external stakeholders. Work Model:

  • Less than 10% travel, various annual meetings

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the office's first point of contact, managing front desk operations, visitor reception, phone screening, mail distribution, and general administrative support.
  • Coordinate office operations, including supply ordering, vendor relationships, equipment monitoring, facility needs, and travel arrangements.
  • Communicate with members, vendors, and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate information sharing and timely follow-up.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support through document preparation, presentations, reports, mailings, and database maintenance using Microsoft Office.
  • Support accounting functions, including check tracking, credit card reconciliation, and rental vehicle administration.
  • Assist with planning and execution of meetings, training sessions, board meetings, committee activities, and special events.
  • Provide backup executive support and contribute to cross-functional projects and other organizational initiatives as needed.

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • 1-3 years of administrative support, office coordination, or related experience in the agricultural industry
  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong customer service and self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with sound judgment
  • Professional presence, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and strong relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce CRM experience preferred
