Video Surveillance & Access Control Technician

We are seeking an experienced Video Surveillance & Access Control Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and service of enterprise security systems across commercial and industrial customer sites throughout Eastern Iowa. This is a hands-on field role focused on IP-based video surveillance and access control systems, ideal for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and deliver high-quality installations in customer-facing environments. Work Model:

• On-Site
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Monday – Friday
• Local travel

What You Will Do:

• Install, configure, commission, and service IP-based video surveillance and electronic access control systems
• Perform troubleshooting, testing, system programming, commissioning, and end-user training across customer environments
• Work from project drawings, submittals, and BOMs while collaborating with project managers, field teams, and customer IT/security contacts

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience installing and commissioning video surveillance and access control systems
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, PoE, and switch configuration basics
• Experience with platforms such as Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Brivo, AMAG, Motorola, Acre, or similar enterprise security technologies
