Senior Project & Cost Accountant

The Senior Project & Cost Accountant plays a key role in managing project financials, cost accounting, and reporting while ensuring compliance with established accounting standards and company policies. What You Will Do:

• Manage production and project cost accounting systems in compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and company policies
• Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
• Monitor and forecast COGS, profitability, and project financial performance
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop cost estimates, evaluate product changes, and identify profit improvement opportunities
• Prepare management reports, variance analyses, forecasts, and other financial insights to support decision-making
• Support budgeting processes, including standard costing, activity rates, and departmental expense planning
• Assist with audits, tax reporting, corporate requests, and compliance initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and internal control requirements
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
