Construction Project Manager

Palmer Group’s client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to support heavy civil construction projects involving earthwork, site development, and underground utility infrastructure. This role is responsible for preparing project estimates, managing project execution, coordinating with field operations, and maintaining control of schedules, costs, safety, and quality throughout the project lifecycle. The position works closely with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to help deliver successful projects from bidding through closeout.

What You Will Do:

• Prepare quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals for construction projects
• Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers
• Support project planning activities, including scheduling, procurement, and resource coordination
• Monitor project performance related to budget, schedule, safety, quality, and contract requirements
• Manage and document scope changes, change orders, and project cost impacts
• Conduct site visits to review progress, address project issues, and verify compliance with safety and quality expectations
• Maintain communication with customers, project stakeholders, subcontractors, and field personnel throughout project execution
• Review project documentation, invoices, reporting, and closeout requirements to ensure timely completion

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or a related role supporting civil, sitework, utility, or infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control practices
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
• Experience with construction management, estimating, scheduling, or design software is preferred
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit project sites as needed
