Construction Field Safety Manager

Are you passionate about safety and looking to make a difference? Our client is looking for a dedicated Construction Field Safety Manager! In this role, you will work closely with foremen, superintendents, and project managers to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures. You'll maintain a visible presence in the field, visiting job sites and engaging with employees throughout the day by addressing safety inquiries, checking employee PPE, and conducting incident investigations. Additionally, you'll play a key role in achieving profitability and productivity goals, all while reporting directly to the Safety Director.

What You Will Do:

• Implement and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations (OSHA, MSHA, DOT)
• Advise the Safety Director on compliance issues and preventive actions
• Conduct safety training, surveys, inspections, and post-accident investigations
• Maintain safety records and prepare reports with recommendations
• Manage job site, equipment, and vehicle inspections for safe working conditions

What You Will Need To Be Successful: 

• 3+ years of safety-related construction experience, including OSHA, First Aid/CPR, Confined Spaces, DOT, and Excavation safety
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in environmental/occupational health and safety and CHST certification
• Skilled in writing detailed reports, documenting investigations, and presenting safety procedures to small groups
• Excellent computer and communication skills; ability to work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel overnight
• Ability to work weekends/holidays as needed, maintain regular attendance, and perform physical tasks
