What You Will Do:

  • Lead NEPA documentation efforts for transportation and infrastructure projects
  • Coordinate environmental reviews, permitting activities, and regulatory approvals
  • Serve as a primary liaison with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
  • Conduct and oversee natural resource evaluations, field investigations, and technical reporting
  • Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to integrate environmental requirements into project development
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff on environmental compliance matters
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, agency representatives, and project stakeholders
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise project teams on evolving environmental requirements

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Planning, Natural Resource Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, or environmental consulting
  • Demonstrated experience preparing NEPA documentation, including Categorical Exclusions and Environmental Assessments
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, with experience coordinating agency reviews and approvals
  • Experience supporting transportation projects and working with agencies such as DOT and FHWA
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills
