We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of a well-established, growth-oriented organization in a dynamic, project-driven industry. This role is a strategic leadership position, responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, cost accounting, project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. What You Will Do:

  • Lead financial operations, including financial reporting, GAAP compliance, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, project accounting, and internal controls
  • Develop and maintain scalable financial systems, processes, dashboards, and ERP-integrated reporting to support business growth and operational efficiency
  • Oversee project and cost accounting activities, including revenue recognition, project profitability analysis, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Program Management, Supply Chain, Sales, HR, and IT to support budgeting, pricing, cost management, and strategic decision-making
  • Manage, coach, and develop the finance team while driving continuous improvement, process standardization, and financial discipline across the organization

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience with strong cost accounting and project accounting expertise
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, shipbuilding, or other project-based industries; percentage-of-completion accounting experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (Syteline preferred), Excel, financial reporting/BI tools, and budgeting/forecasting systems
  • Demonstrated leadership, process improvement, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build scalable financial processes and influence business decisions
